President Barack Obama, in an historic inauguration speech, mentioned the LGBT community specifically as one deserving equal rights. What a step forward for our people. This affirms our push for, as our Constitution so wonderfully states, “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” We still have many legal and cultural barriers in this pursuit, but we have momentum to push forward.
