“OUI FOR EQUALITY” rally a success!

On Sunday January 27th, Boston Pride participated in a rally in support of same sex marriage in France, along with other community organizations (GLAD, HRC Boston, QWOC Media Wire, and HBGC) and French expatriates associations (Français du Monde and the French socialist party). Despite the cold and the wind, over forty people gathered in front of the Consulate General of France on St James Ave. (also the site of Boston Pride’s annual Back Bay Block Party). Participants waved rainbow and French flags, as well as signs reminiscent of Massachusetts’ own fight for marriage equality in 2003 and 2004.
