It is with sadness that Boston Pride has learned of the passing of Joan Rivers. Today the world has lost no only one of the greatest comedians, but also a fervent supporter and devoted ally of the LGBT community. Joan Rivers was an icon and a legend, who will be remembered fondly. She was a very generous and gracious person who, despite her busy schedule, took the time to support Boston Pride this year by recording a special “Happy Pride” video in only the way Joan could. Joan will truly be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Joan’s legacy will live on through the impressive body of work she gave us spanning over four decades.
