gay_shamrockBoston Pride welcomes the fact that the Allied War Veterans Council has accepted the application of OutVets to march in the 2015 South Boston St. Patrick’s Day parade. It is a demonstration that much progress has been made in the two decades since the Supreme Court rendered its decision allowing the parade to prohibit LGBT groups from marching. There is more work to be done – true equality and acceptance will only come when all LGBT and allied organizations can march openly and proudly. We look forward to members of our community and our allies joining us in June 2015 for our 45th anniversary Pride celebration.
