ppsPromise Place School invites the Boston Pride community to partake in an evening of delicious food, dynamic company, and musical entertainment at its First Annual Boston Gala to be held on Saturday, 26 September, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center. Your attendance will lend critical support to the School’s mission to create permanent and safe living and educational environments for LGBTQQIA homeless youth in the Bay State.

After mingling with friends, new and old alike, at the reception, the program will begin in earnest with a delectable dinner, featuring your choice of Pinot braised bone-in short rib of beef or vegetarian Wellington. Dinner should be a lively occasion, with a live auction featuring an exciting array of travel packages, from embarking on a South African photo safari to relaxing on the paradisiacal beaches of Antigua.

Afterwards, we will take a moment to recognize six individuals for their tireless work and advocacy on issues concerning young people, education, community health, and LGBTQQIA rights: Congressman Joe Kennedy, State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, Carl Sciortino (Executive Director, AIDS Action Committee), Joe Finn (President and Executive Director, Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance), Diego Sanchez (Director of Policy, PFLAG National), and Elisabeth Jackson (Executive Director, Bridge Over Troubled Waters).

The evening will culminate in a special live performance by the internationally renowned Larry Watson.

The Gala promises to be a memorable occasion, so don’t miss out!
