Online Communications & Creating a Diverse Fundraising Portfolio For the first year, a Pre-Conference consisting of hands-on workshops will be held at NERP, on the afternoon of Thursday February 28th and the morning of Friday February 29th. You can register for the Pre-Conference when registering for NERP 08 [Register]. This intense and interactive two day (8 hour) seminar will explore with you, the program participant, issues associated with development and online communication activities. The first part, on Thursday afternoon, will review practical tools to make the most use of your organization’s online existence or to help you develop one. Design guidelines, promotion, and technical support will all be discussed. A “do’s and don’ts” discussion of existing website communications issues will be completed by the facilitator with attendee participation. The second part, on Friday morning, will review ways to develop a strategic plan in regards to development activities above and beyond the corporate sponsorship model. Diversifying your fundraising portfolio will be discussed. In addition, you will explore new development possibilities that often are underutilized by Pride Committees to help you widen your existing fundraising efforts. This is a pre-conference workshop developed for those who may want a smaller (and intense) learning experience so space is limited. |
