W02. Self, Community, Pride

Abstract: Pride is not just a day or a week of the year when we show the world who we are, it is 365 days a year. How can
we bring Pride into our lives and into the rest of the year? How do we use our Pride and diversity to show who we really are,
instead of the snap shot that the rest of the world sees once a year? This workshop will facilitate a discussion on local and
national initiatives that have these issues at its core; whether is by volunteering at a hospice or with an AIDS service
organization, adding a platform or working on international human rights issues or getting involved in other political
movements. Pride means something different to everyone, what does it mean to you?


Presenters: Jayme Martin of the Boston Pride Committee and Billy Ulrich, Region 6 Regional Director.
