Best Float
Best Marching Group
Best Adaptation of the Theme

Judges will be stationed at the corner of Columbus Ave. & Berkeley Street to evaluate all contingents!

Helpful Tips

  • Pack appropriately! The Boston Pride Parade is a rain or shine event, so plan accordingly for the weather conditions.  Consider bringing sunscreen, a hat or sunglasses, an umbrella or raincoat and comfortable shoes!
  • Please remain on the curb and out of the street. Make sure children are safe and do not enter or cross the Parade route.  As the Parade meanders through the streets, the throngs of costumed marchers, large trucks, floats and loud music can turn from entertaining to dangerous if safety guidelines are not followed.
  • Respect the instructions from the Parade Staff and Volunteers – These individuals will be clearly distinguishable from the crowd.  They are there to help maintain a safe and exciting day!
  • Have fun!

Location & Directions

The Pride Festival will take place on Saturday, June 11 at City Hall Plaza, right in the heart of downtown Boston.  It is strongly recommended that you take public transportation to the festival.  Given the large amount of people present in the city for the day’s events, traffic will likely be highly congested and parking will be limited.

By T: Take the Green or Blue lines to Government Center.

Entertainment

The main stage hosts local and national acts from noon – 6pm. Stay tuned for updates to the line up.

Centrally located at the Festival, the Jumbo-Tron showcases entertainers, announcements, and video clips of the Pride festivities.  It’s the best way to keep an eye on everything happening on the plaza

The Celebrity Lounge

The Boston Pride Festival hosts a Celebrity Lounge on the balcony of City Hall overlooking the festivities.  From here, you can grab a drink, mingle with the talent and see the Festival from way above the action.  $5 entry.  21+.  Proper ID Required.

Marketplace & Merchants

In 2010, the Pride Festival hosted over 100 vendors who provided everything from Pride-themed merchandise (look for the official Boston Pride tent!) to fun giveaways, pet and home supplies, services, clothing, and information pamphlets.  Food vendors will also be on the plaza, so be sure to bring your appetite!

Family Fun Zone

The Boston Pride Festival is a family-friendly event.  We encourage visitors of all ages to join in the fun! For our younger visitors, we offer a safe space with fun activities and performers.
