1. Bravo Top Chefs Sizzle at Boston Pride

Boston Pride is partnering with Macy’s and Bravo TV to spice up the 2008 Boston Pride calendar with contemporary culinary expertise. Bravo Top Chef competitors and out lesbian couple Zoi and Jen will slice, dice and sauté during a cooking demonstration on Tuesday, June 10, 2p.m., at Macy’s Downtown Crossing, 450 Washington St., Boston. Learn about their approach to contemporary cuisine and hear first-hand what it’s like to be on this top-rated TV show. Cooking is just part of the fun all day June 10 as Boston Pride hosts Out in Downtown, a rain or shine event held in Boston’s Downtown Crossing.
2. Wear Your Pride!

Last year's jewelry was so successful that we've expanded the Boston Pride merchandise line to include bracelets as well. And to help sustain our communities, as this year’s Pride theme encourages, this jewelry is all hand beaded locally by people with developmental disabilities at the Cambridge-based non-profit CMARC. For more than 30 years, CMARC has been a supportive group ensuring that all members of the community can direct their own lives and destinies. Learn more at www.cmarc.org.
3. This year at Pride Day @ Faneuil Hall

Pride Day @ Faneuil Hall is set for Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and this year is going to be a blast! Performers include the Dejas, a New Hampshire-based Acoustic/Folk/Ambient duo, and Coretta Sellars, who was recently featured as a Home Grown Featured Artist on Boston's WXRV The River 92.5, and who finished recording her fourth album, "Keeping the Space" in 2008.
4. The Parade Goes On!

Here’s a friendly heads up... The City of Boston has changed a few of the rules regarding floats in the parade.. Be sure to check them out on the Boston Pride website. If you haven't paid your parade fees in full by June 1st you will not be eligible to march this year so please get your payments in. Parade Group Marshal Orientations have begun! Meetings are at the Hyatt Regency (One Avenue De Lafayette in Boston) and start at 6 pm. Attendance is mandatory for all registered group marshals. Check out www.bostonpride.org for meeting dates.

I hope you dug out your rainbow gear, because this year’s Pride is going to be the best, and this year’s volunteers are going to be the brightest! Without volunteers, Pride would not happen. We want our community and the world to know that we are PROUD of who we are!!!! I want to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your help, spirit, and effort!
Email volunteer@bostonpride.org if you want to help out!
