Parade Awards 2009
Registered groups will be evaluated in three categories:
- Best Float
- Best Marching Group
- Best Adaptation of the Theme
Judges will be posted all along the Parade Route, and the Awards winners will be announced at the Festival.

Information to Participants: Marshal Orientation
All participants must have their Group Marshals attend one of the three Orientation Meetings:
- Dates: May 22nd, May 29th, June 5th
- Time: 6:30 - 8pm
- Venue: Non-Profit Center, 89 South Street, Boston MA (1 block west from South Station T Stop)
Attendance is mandatory!

Information to Participants: Floats and Vehicles
These documents are for your reference only: the Inspection Criteria will be updated by the City of Boston Police Department at a later date.
If you are bringing a float or a vehicle in the Parade, please see the following documents:
All floats and vehicle participating in the Parade will be inspected by City Inspectors between 10am and 12noon at the staging area. All floats and vehicles must satisfy the Inspection Criteria, or the float or vehicle will not be allowed to leave the staging area, per City of Boston regulations. If you have any questions or concerns about these specifications provided by the City of Boston, please direct them to the parade chair at parade@bostonpride.org.

Information to Participants: Power Generators
If you are bringing a power generator to supply electricity to your sound system, you must obtain a permit from the City of Boston. You can apply by going to 1010 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston, 3rd floor. More information is available at the City of Boston Fire Department, Fire Prevention Division, Fire and Permits: PatMcD.bfd@ci.boston.ma.us and (617) 343-3443.
