Boston Pride and Club Café are proud to present Boston Pride Idol 2008!
Wednesday June 11, 2008 - 7:00-9:00pm followed by Club Café's party until 2am
Club Café is located at 209 Columbus Avenue, in Boston, MA.
$10 cover to be donated to Boston Pride
Join us on June 11th as Boston’s upcoming stars come out for the 2008 Boston Pride Idol contest at Club Café. If you are interested in auditioning for Pride Idol, please contact us at idol@bostonpride.org, for an application and official rules.
Prizes include a Boston Pride and Club Café gift bag filled with great items, and the chance to sing at the 2008 Boston Pride Festival taking place in Boston City Hall Plaza!
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Contestants may only audition one time. There are no exceptions to this rule.
2. Auditions must be between 3-4 minutes in length. Any audition piece that go past 4:00 minutes will lose points on the scoring sheets.
3. Auditions can be sung to music track without vocals or by karaoke. If you choose to use a music track without vocals, it is recommended that you prepare and provide the track to be played. All contestants must choose two songs to perform that night.
4. All contestants must be available to sing at the Pride Festival on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
5. Contestants will be judged in the following categories: Music Selection, Vocal Quality, Style & Appearance/Star Quality/Stage Presence.
6. All decisions made by judges in the audition and finals are non-negotiable.
7. There is a $10 entry fee payable upon audition, which is a tax-deductible donation to the Pride Committee. We accept cash or checks made out to: Boston Pride Committee.
8. Rules and procedures of judging shall be announced and made public at the contest.
9. Any person affiliated with the Boston Pride Committee, Club Café, SPI group and its Stolichnaya brands are not permitted to audition in the event.
