October is GLBT History Month and this is what’s happening around town:

The Boston LGBT Film Festival is celebrating LGBT History Month and National Coming Out Day with two great screenings! First up on October 12th is Margaret Cho’s classic camp film Bam Bam & Celeste, the fantastic road movie also starring Jane Lynch, Alan Cumming, and Kathy Najimy. At this show, Boston Pride will be giving away a pair of tickets to the VIP Reception with Margaret Cho, to be held at the W Hotel on October 28th.

And we continue our Road Movie theme the following night on October 13th with the Drag-tastic classic film Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. You know the film (and songs) by heart so come out to the Stuart Street Playhouse and sing and shout along with Mitzy, Felicia, and Bernadette as they trek across the Australian desert.
