LGBT organization to publish premium guide to celebrate its 45th anniversary

Boston, MA, October 8, 2014 – Boston Pride announced today that it will produce, publish and distribute its own official Boston Pride Guide in 2015, for the first time in its history. The LGBT organization will celebrate its 45th anniversary throughout next year, with the 45th annual Boston Pride Parade and Festival to be held on June 13th, 2015. The 2015 Boston Pride Week celebration will be held from June 5th to June 14th.

“This is an incredibly exciting new venture for Boston Pride, which will allow us to deliver high quality content and information to our community in Greater Boston and beyond” said Sylvain Bruni, President of Boston Pride. To spearhead this endeavor, Boston Pride has assembled a new team of volunteers solely dedicated to the effort, including editors, contributors, managers, and designers.

The publication will be “a full color, glossy magazine that informs the community about Boston Pride Week, that raises awareness about other programs of Boston Pride, and that provides new and advanced content to many readership groups,” according to Linda DeMarco, Vice-President of Boston Pride.

True to its mission and values, Boston Pride is seeking to involve community input regarding topics and story ideas to be featured in the publication. “This is a Pride Guide by and for the community in all its diversity, so we invite anyone interested in submitting their ideas to contact us” said Bruni.

Community members may submit their feedback through the Boston Pride website. Interested advertisers may also use the website to reserve ad space in the official Boston Pride Guide. The ad submission deadline for the publication will be April 17th, 2015. The official Boston Pride Guide is scheduled for release on May 20th, 2015.
