Boston Pride today announced that NBC10 Boston, Telemundo Boston and necn is returning for the third year as the official broadcast partner of Pride programming and events during “Boston Pride Week 2019,” which will be held from May 31 to June 11. To celebrate the weeklong celebration reflecting this year’s pride theme, “Looking Back, Loving Forward,” NBC10 Boston, Telemundo Boston and necn will air special programming, participate in Pride events and report on the latest news about Boston Pride Week. They will also be visible in the Pride Parade on June 8 with the station’s Weather Warrior, Storm Ranger, Weather Chaser, a float with employee marching group including Christa Delcamp, Shannon Mulaire, Phil Lipof, Latoyia Edwards, JC Monahan, Latoyia Edwards and more. All three stations will have digital photo booths at the Pride Festival on City Hall Plaza where visitors can snap a photo or a selfie.

All three stations will conduct special coverage throughout Pride week, including the kick-off ceremony at City Hall Plaza for the Pride Flag Raising, a half-hour highlight special, “Celebrating Boston Pride” airing Saturday, June 8 at 7:15pm, after The Belmont Stakes on NBC, appearances on other shows including “The Take” hosted by Sue O’Connell on necn and presence in the station’s social media and website.

The 2019 Boston Pride theme, “Looking Back, Loving Forward,” represents the recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and is meant to encourage the community to reflect on the many challenges and incredible victories of the LGBTQ+ community during that time.

Boston Pride Week 2019 kicks-off with the Pride flag raising on City Hall Plaza Friday, May 31st at 12pm and continue with events throughout the week including the annual Boston Pride Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 8th, the Pride Block Parties on Sunday June 9thin the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain and Pride Night at Fenway Park on June 11th.

Its flagship program, Boston Pride Week, includes large scale events like the annual Pride Parade and Festival, the largest annual public event in New England.
