National Protest Against Proposition 8
Boston City Hall Plaza, 1:30pm
Thousands of people plan to pour onto Boston's City Hall Plaza Saturday, November 15 at 1:30 p.m. (EST), to join a nationwide protest of Proposition 8 and other anti-gay measures which were passed on Election Day.
The event is part of a nationwide protest demonstrating opposition to the recent passage of discriminatory legislation that banned marriage equality in California, Florida and Arizona and prohibited gay couples from adopting in Arkansas.
The protest, offering solidarity to those fighting for the repeal of these laws, is being coordinated by Join the Impact, a national grass-roots organization created in the days following the election. Boston organizers are working closely with local civil rights organizations, colleges and religious communities in New England to coordinate the protest on Saturday.
Boston Pride reminds us all, "you are not alone."
We’ll see you there.
