Boston Pride is putting on the green this Earth Day! After meeting a super-enthusiastic response from the community—and being successful at significantly reducing our waste and carbon footprint in 2008, Boston Pride’s Green Initiative is back in 2009!

Our "Recycle, Reduce, Reuse" effort will be implemented again at all events and in our business practices including recycling at the Festival, Parade and Block Parties. We will be reducing the use of paper and one-use items; promoting the use of public transportation, car-sharing and bikes; and reusing as many resources year-to-year as possible, including banners, signs and decorations. Boston Pride is proud to be a co-presenter of the 25th annual Boston LGBT Film Festival May 6 - 17. The festival includes a dynamic, international roster of films exploring gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experience and culture.

Pssst…. Mark your calendars now all you gorgeous Kings and Queens of Boston… Boston Pride is planning an amazing event just for you. The very first, very glittery, very fancy King and Queen of Boston Pride 2009 Pageant! I know. We’re pretty excited too. The Boston Pride Festival is going into its 39th year and every year gets better. Last year we had over 100,000 people in attendance of all ages and backgrounds. The festival is an amazing opportunity to promote your business as well as to support the LGBT community. Rates have lowered this year and the deadline before the late fee kicks in is quickly approaching. We look forward to seeing you at Boston Pride! Late fees begin May 15.
