Happy Little Clouds

Happy Little Clouds, the brain-child of Jac Mestel, began in 2010 and has featured a lineup of several talented local musicians over the years. The band’s first studio album, which debuted July 9, 2016, features Jac on lead vocals and guitar along with long-time member Alex Toorish on drums and Kelly Vaden on bass. The current line up of the band includes Jac Mestel on vocals and guitar, Rainy Maple Logan on drums, and the newest member, Beck Goguen on bass. Happy Little Clouds calls the Boston area home, though they have performed across New England, including a gig at the Hartford, CT leg of the 2012 Van’s Warped Tour, after winning the Ourstage.com 2012 Warped Tour Regional Competition for their song, “Somebody Help Me Forget.” In July 2016, Happy Little Clouds released their first studio album, “Shift,” which was recorded by Jonathan Wyman over five days at The Halo, a converted barn outside Portland, Maine. The sold-out album release show took place at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston where the band brought together their favorite local artists, poets and musicians and held an art auction that raised $500 for the non-profit, Girl’s Rock Campaign Boston. Other notable performances include opening for the popular 90s “queer-core” band, Pansy Division, at ONCE Ballroom in September, and opening for Madame Gandhi aka Kiran Gandhi former drummer for M.I.A.

Justin Dearborn

As a recording artist, Justin Dearborn’s music fuses elements of electropop and dance-pop into a genre that markets itself exceedingly well in the mainstream commercial music world. His vocals exhibit a unique quality, combining the technique of powerfully-sung tenor phrases along with a warm, rich tone. Based out of Boston, he has collaborated in the recording studio with a team of multi-platinum producers, including Andrew Goldstein (Britney Spears, Jason Derülo, Selena Gomez) and Brad Young (LMFAO, New Kids on the Block) — all of which who have worked closely with him to bring his creative vision to life. As his catalogue of material grows, he continues to draw inspiration from both past and present musicians — including the iconic artists of the late 90s all the way up to today’s Billboard Hot 100 players. Comparable to his musical predecessors yet still maintaining his own individuality. With songwriting being the foundation of his work, Dearborn’s original track list serves as the tip of the iceberg for his heart as an artist. He is just as dynamic as he is charismatic, and has no plan of slowing down. Whether he’s performing an intimate set at a nightclub in the city or an event holding thousands, his music proves to be impactful and continues to reach a wide demographic.
