10am | Our History: HIV and Queer Women of Color Fenway Health (1340 Boylston St, Boston, MA) Free In commemoration of Black History Month and National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (February 7, 2017), Boston Black Pride, The Fenway Institute, Fenway Women’s Health and The LOCS Collective present a screening of Tiona McClodden’s “Bumming Cigarettes” – a short film about a brief and intimate meeting between a young Black lesbian woman who is in the process of taking an HIV test and a middle aged Black Gay HIV positive man. Following the screening, there will be a panel/discussion presented by community health advocates on HIV/AIDS awareness, testing, education and community involvement. In addition, there will be presentations from the Cervical Cancer Media Project and Queer Women’s Health Project. Brunch and Beverages provided. Come meet new people and have a drink. Do not stress if you haven’t painted since grade school, this is for beginners! Doors open at 4:30pm and painting starts at 5pm.
